Product Description MSS SP 43 Stub End
MSS SP 43 is a standard that specifies the dimensions and design criteria for stub ends, which are commonly used in piping systems, particularly in butt-welded pipe fittings. A stub end is a short piece of pipe that is welded to the pipe for attaching flanges or other fittings. These fittings are used in systems where frequent dismantling or changing of flanged connections is required.

Type A Stub End:
- This type of stub end is typically used when a flanged connection needs to be made to a pipe. The pipe end is welded to the stub end, which then has a flange that can be bolted to another flange.
- The Type A stub end has a longer back bevel and is designed for applications where the stub end is welded to the pipe, with the flange positioned outward.
