LSAW Pipe
LSAW Pipe
Emirerri Steel is a trusted name in the global steel industry, offering a wide range of high-quality piping solutions, including Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) Pipes. Engineered for strength, durability, and reliability, our LSAW pipes are widely used across industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, water transportation, construction, and more. With a strong commitment to quality and precision, Emirerri Steel manufactures and supplies LSAW pipes that meet the highest international standards.

What is an LSAW Pipe?
LSAW pipes are made by bending and welding steel plates longitudinally. The welding process used is known as Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), which ensures a clean, high-integrity weld seam. The longitudinal welding makes LSAW pipes exceptionally strong and ideal for high-pressure and high-load applications.
Unlike spiral welded pipes (SSAW), which have helical welds, LSAW pipes have a straight seam weld, enhancing their structural integrity and axial strength. This makes them suitable for transporting hydrocarbons over long distances and in harsh environments.
Why Choose LSAW Pipes?
- High-pressure resistance is critical
- Tough terrain or deep-sea installations are involved
- Large-diameter, thick-wall pipes are needed
- Strict adherence to dimensional tolerances and welding quality is essential
Manufacturing Process of LSAW Pipes
Plate Selection: High-quality steel plates sourced from reputed mills
Edge Milling: Precision edge preparation for optimal weld quality
Forming: Steel plate is rolled into a U-shape and then into an O-shape using advanced forming presses
Welding: Inner and outer seams are welded using Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Heat Treatment: To relieve residual stresses and improve mechanical properties
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): 100% Ultrasonic testing and Radiographic testing for weld seam integrity
Hydrostatic Testing: Ensures the pipe can withstand operating pressures
Finishing and Coating: Surface finishing and anti-corrosion coating as per client specifications
Final Inspection & Packing: Dimensional check, marking, and protective packaging for dispatch
