Description
JIS G3302 Hot-Dip Zinc-Coated Steel Sheets
JIS G3302 is a Japanese Industrial Standard that specifies requirements for hot-dip zinc-coated steel sheets and strips (commonly referred to as galvanized steel). This standard applies to steel sheets, strips, and corrugated sheets that are coated with zinc through a hot-dip galvanizing process, where the steel is submerged in a bath of molten zinc containing at least 97% zinc (typically with less than 0.30% aluminum). The zinc coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, making these materials suitable for various applications.
Key Features
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Good weldability and formability
- Available in skin-passed or non-skin-passed finish
- Can be chromated, oiled, or dry surface treated
